PRESENTS

Fun movie, but not a whole lot to write home about. I did enjoy the simplicity of the set up, but if your set up is just going to be "two kids stumble into a creature infested cabin" then you need to really give us some intriguing monster-ish shit elsewhere in your movie. Like what's the deal with this guys mud piles? Where did this beast come from or rather why was this creature buried in the mud or why was this dude trying to dig it up? In the end it was a top notch "last girl" performance from the leading lady, but the the film, as a whole, left me wanting a little more nuance.
