Flávio Carnielli is a brazilian independent/low budget filmmaker who inspired by the works of controversial geniuses like Russ Meyer and Herschell Gordon Lewis decided to be a self learner provocative and truly independent filmmaker in a country where artistic freedom is not welcome. His latest short movie “The Doll” was shown in eight countries and nominated for a prize at three festivals, including BUT Film Festival and Navidades Sangrientas.
