MONSTER DESIGN - She was quirky in many ways which I enjoyed.
MONSTER INTERACTION - I mean this movie was entirely about the monster vampire lady.
MONSTER ORIGINALITY - This is a story that has been told before but told in a beautiful way.
MONSTER FEAR FACTOR - A few suspenseful moments of "will she kill him...?"
PRACTICAL EFFECTS - I enjoyed the finger shnack.
CGI/ANIMATION - A few brief moments but was both not taken by them and not bothered by them.
FX MAKEUP - Not a lot to talk about here.
STORY - A romance novel in a movie for my eye.
CHARACTERS - Complex relationships and in-depth character work.
DIALOGUE -

My score is lower than I thought it would be for a truly enjoyable creature feature. The main strengths of this film are the aesthetically mesmerizing shots. Also worth celebrating is the soundscape for the entire film. A high point in my book. Where this film loses points for me are in monster originality. This really is a story that has been told before and I can't get that out of my head. Overall, the emotional energy of this film is enjoyable and I would recommend if you are looking for a low key romance meets suspenseful vampire flick.
