SYNOPSIS
The White Room is a look into the mind of Chetan, an individual who spirals into multiple delusions of his haunted subconscious. The Figment is a twisted representation of his mind, who torments Chetan as he falls deeper into his new reality. Chetan's determination to flee from the mayhem is met with a damning realization that there is no escape.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
My name is Willow McKenna, I was born and raised in Johannesburg. I have always had an interest in art, but I also have a very technical mind, so a career in Animation has many opportunities that combine those two halves of my skills. I wanted to create a film that was extremely different from the films this school had previously produced. We focused on creating dynamic visuals and pushing the boundaries of our existing skills. The goal was to create an art film where every shot can stand on its own as a powerful visual.
