A perfectly par picture with a classic creature feature structure, Into the Grizzly Maze boasts all the pro's of a good simple horror story and all the cons as well. The cast of A-listers, most punching below their weight for a film of this caliber, manage to keep the cache of cookie-cutter characters from falling to flat, but the real star of the ensemble is the Hollywood veteran, Bart the Bear. Aside from a few beauty scars the gore makeup is well done, though the points it gains for practical effects are negated by what it loses in poor green screen work. In the end the flick just about breaks even on the Bite Night rubric, somewhere in between utterly forgettable and must watch.
