This is more a war film than a horror.

Fun, escapist sci-fi war movie. Huge budget, lots of hoorah patriotism and machismo. You wonder if the US Armed Forces uses movies like this for recruitement tools. The creatures and their spaceships are cool, the set pieces well-executed and action-packed. But Independence Day was better because it had more humor in it. This movie doesn't bring much new to the genre. Still, a fun time.
