In the tradition of EC Comics, Creepshow, and Tales From The Crypt, The Queen of Sod is an original Hollywood Urban Legend. A dirt soaked, Vomit Smoothie. color drenched, horrific descent into an author's research on a boy and his long lost Mother.

DIRECTOR BIO
Matthew began his film industry career composing the original score for Bobcat Goldthwait’s cult hit “God Bless America,” which premiered at TIFF and succeeded at SXSW, earning acclaim for its music. He then scored Goldthwait’s “Willow Creek” gaining invaluable experience in feature film directing by watching Goldthwait work.

Matthew's passion for practical effects led him to become a Visual Effects Producer at Encirco Studios, working with clients like The Jim Henson Company, South Park Studios, and Universal Studios.
While directing a regional theatre play, which featured MUCH MORE fake blood splatter than any theatrical production should have any right to, Matthew was recruited by Netflix to redefine English dubbing for their international content. Over the next few years, he collaborated with executives, filmmakers, actors, and showrunners to ensure the creative vision in projects like “Money Heist,” “Lupin,” and the Academy Award-nominated “Society of the Snow” was accurately conveyed. His work earned him a New York Times feature and BAFTA voting membership.

Matthew’s original short films, screenplays, and music videos have been featured in festivals worldwide, including FilmQuest and ScreamFest. With a vivid visual style blending beauty, grotesque elements, and fantasy, he is currently developing his first feature film with co-writer K.A. Szyperski.
