DIRECTOR STATEMENT
This short film was created as an ode to my family and my story of immigration. Three years ago I moved away from my family and my country to pursue my career as an animator. It became difficult to go back home so for over a year I was unable to see and be with my parents and my sister. During this time, I went through hard experiences that changed me. The girl who my parents left in the beginning of this journey is gone and I have become this new person, unsure now if I will be compatible with them. Regardless of this, I still love and miss my family. Therefore, this film is my letter to them that love doesn’t end in hardship but flourishes and brings you back to life, back home.
