PRESENTS

this is a classic sci fi channel monthly made movie. The only thing worse than the terrible cgi is the writing and acting. i can tell somebody put a little thought into what they wanted this thing to look like, but the wheels fell off somewhere and the finished product is an inconsistent mess. the story is stolen, the characters are hackneyed and totally one sided. the dialogue is garbage.
"hey, you think that thing could analyze a fart?"
there are a couple fun practical effect moments even though they are completely unearned. seems like somebody just learned how to build a squib and really wanted an excuse to use it. kind of like how somebody read about a real creature called a 'water bear' and thought, yeah i guess we could build a movie around that. cut-paste creature feature. no beuno.
