PRESENTS

MONSTER DESIGN - There were many different types of spiders.
MONSTER INTERACTION - Lots on spiders on humans. Drove it along.
MONSTER ORIGINALITY - Spiders. so...
MONSTER FEAR FACTOR - I enjoyed some of the spiders thinking...

PRACTICAL EFFECTS - The egg sacks looked really lovely.
CGI/ANIMATION - Actually none. But i don't think needed.
FX MAEKUP - LOVED Molly's hair. Blood was sparse but doable.

STORY - I'll "bite" on spiders getting down in Cali.
CHARACTERS - John. Goodman.
DIALOGUE - I felt like some characters were on different wavelengths but none of it made me outwardly sigh.

This movie felt like a solid middle of the road creature feature. I enjoyed the moments of hilarity entrenched in John Goodmans character and a few of the shot choices. It should be noted that this movie was very well dressed and the the shot locations were aesthetically pleasing. ALSO, as we know, I love a good soundscape. Each moment had a unique soundscape and I appreciated the variance.
